September 21, 2007 Good News! Mojo Racing Partners is pleased to announce that we have a new addition to the Mojo Stable!Hip #3950 - a lovely Bay Filly by Chapel Royal out of Pleasing Prospect (by Mr. Prospector). She's very correct in her confirmation (top-to-bottom - front-to-back); has a nice shoulder; a smart head; and a confident disposition. She was born on May 3, 2006. Our Trainer is pleased with our Filly's balanced look, and on an intersting note (while looking through her pedigree), John mentioned that when he was w/ Bob Baffert, they trained one of her grandam's stakes winners - Favorite Funtime. Our new Filly's sire, Chapel Royal, is a multiple graded stakes winner who now stands at Ashford Stud (so we're adding to the Coolmore collection). And her dam, Pleasing Prospect, was a Runner in I feel very fortunate to have obtained this individual because the past three days have been taxing. As Geoffrey Russell (Keeneland's director of sales ) pointed out: "There are still a lot of people here, accounting for a good atmosphere to today's sale. Buyers from the Caribbean, Russia, the Ukraine, and Mexico were very busy." This, in addition to the other European shoppers (with their favorable currencey exchange rate these days) looking to buy turf horses, has made for a very challenging/competitive Sale atmosphere to find a Mojo Runner. For now, our lass will stay a night or two at Honeysuckle Farm (the turnout farm), and then she'll ship to Diamond D Ranch. Of course, once she gets in, we'll give her a big If you're interested in owning a share of this Filly and would like to become a Mojo Partner, visit our Current Offering page.
