Wild About Annie Partnership Forming

Mojo Racing Partners held a mini-mixer this morning at Valor Farm to introduce prospective Partners to our next Mojo Runner, Wild About Annie, and her sire Wimbledon.

Wild About Annie is a Yearling Filly with a classic pedigree.  She’s by Wimbledon out of Sassy Anne (by Uprising).

Wild About Annie

In 2004, Wild About Annie's daddy, Wimbledon, won the $600,000 Louisiana Derby and was entered in the Kentucky Derby that year (and considered to be one of the favorites) before he had to be scratched the day before the Run for the Roses due to a knot (near the tendon) on his left front leg.

Though unraced, Wild About Annie's momma, Sassy Anne, has a storied pedigree that goes back to Raise A Native (on her sire’s side) and Bold Ruler (in the dam’s lineage).  Raise A Native set three track records at Aqueduct; was crowned Co-Champion 2YO Colt in 1963; and was the sire of 74 stakes winners including Majestic Prince (won the 1969 Kentucky Derby), Alydar (runner up to Triple Crown winner Affirmed in all three races in 1978), and Mr. Prospector (one of the most prominent stallions of all time).  Bold Ruler was Champion 3YO in 1957; three-time stallion of the year; and the sire of one of the greatest racehorses of all time:  Secretariat.

Sassy Anne (and Wild About Annie as a Weanling)

A unique partnership for Wild About Annie is being formed, and you can become a Partner for $1,000.  Keeping in mind the economic climate, Mojo Leadership has agreed to limit the total amount of out of pocket expenditures for each Partner to $3,000 (plus licensing fees).  To learn more about the terms of the new WAA Partnership, review the Subscription Document.

Regular updates will be posted on the Mojo Site to highlight Wild About Annie’s progress from the farm to the track.  You can also have the latest Mojo Info delivered to you via Facebook and Twitter.

We are thrilled about the opportunity that this Filly will blossom into a hearty Runner in the coming months, and we’re looking forward to sharing this exciting experience with you!
