New Mojo Runner: Jackrabbit Fast!
Mojo Racing Partners is pleased to bring a new racehorse into the barn that will run at the 2012 Lone Star Meet: Jackrabbit Fast.
Jackrabbit Fast is four-year-old gelding by Aldebaran out of My Own Lovely Lee. Aldebaran is a multiple graded stakes winner and the 2003 Sprinter of Year. My Own Lovely Lee is multiple stakes winning turf runner. Both the sire and dam also had successful racing campaigns at ages four and five.
“JR (Mojo’s Trainer) and I have been looking to claim a horse that will be a good fit for the group that I’m putting together, and I believe Jackrabbit Fast is going to be a runner that will give us what we want,” said Fred Taylor, Mojo’s Managing Partner. “We were being picky and wanted to find a horse that has a good pedigree, a solid race record, and an opportunity to develop in JR’s training program.”
From 16 starts, Jackrabbit Fast has two wins, three seconds, and three thirds. He’s earned over $31,500 and been in the money 12 times.
“This is the first horse Mojo’s claimed, and I’m looking forward to having lots of fun with him at the Lone Star Meet,” says Fred. “JR told me that, coincidentally, his nickname as a kid was Jack Rabbit, so we’ve already got some good Mojo workin’ with this runner!”
When we can anticipate seeing the Jackrabbit run under the Mojo Colors? “For the benefit of the partnership group, I hope to see him run again in several weeks; but I leave the logistics and racing strategy up to JR—he’s the expert,” Fred explains. “What I can say is, the horse looked great after the race, and he doesn’t seem to have any hidden issues—which is a credit to the previous connections. You can be sure that JR and his team will take very good care of Jackrabbit Fast, and they’ll find a good spot for him once they’re confident he’s ready to run again.”
“And, when the time is right, we’re going to have a party at the track on race day—so, stay tuned!”
Mojo is forming a new general partnership to claim and run a thoroughbred racehorse at the 2012 Lone Star Park Meet. Mojo’s new general partnership will offer 4% shares for $500 (each). There are no monthly fees once the subscription price is paid. The only things each person may have to pay based on their vested percentage are any additional medical, insurance (if purchased), and expenses incurred related to racing this horse (not to exceed the value of the horse) that aren't covered by any purse money earned. You can pay with cash, certified check, or credit card. Visit Become A Partner to learn more about this opportunity.
"We don’t pretend to be everything to everyone, and we aren’t trying to compete against the ‘Big Boys’ racing syndicates,” says Fred Taylor, Mojo’s Managing Partner. “We want to give people an easy, affordable, fun, and low risk (financially) alternative to experience this great sport. And, our Concept and Mission are designed to, first, provide the best care for our horses—before, during, and after their racing careers; set a good example for the industry; and provide a unique/educational experience for our Partners. By offering this type of service, we believe there can be win/win memories that will last a lifetime."
