Mojo Enters Two Colts In TX 2YOs In Training Sale
Mojo Thoroughbred Holdings, LLC has catalogued two of its runners for the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale at Lone Star Park on April 3.
“These horses were purchased at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale last fall,” says Fred Taylor, Mojo’s CEM. “They look fantastic and they’re in great condition—the top bidders will be very satisfied with either of these racing prospects.”
The first Mojo Runner is a bay colt by Point Given out of Auspice (by Rubellino). This Mojo Colt is being consigned by Lilly Armstrong and is catalogued as Hip #51.
Point Given was the Three-Year-Old Horse of the Year in 2001, and 45% of Point Given’s offspring are winners. He has produced two champions, seven graded stakes winners, 17 stakes winners, and 18 stakes place finishers.
Auspice is the dam of six foals, one is a stakes winner. She comes from a family of stakes winners that stems back to the prominent Nasrullah bloodline.
The second Mojo Runner is a chestnut colt by Notional out of Misty Weave (by Twining). This Mojo Colt is also being consigned by Lilly Armstrong and is catalogued as Hip #114.
Notional is a multiple graded stakes winner that won two Kentucky Derby preps (G2 San Rafael and G3 Risen Star) and finished a close second in the G1 Florida Derby. At two, Notional posted a 105 Beyer Speed Figure and, at four, he posted a 109 Beyer. As a Freshman Sire, 50% of Notional’s offspring are winners.
Misty Weave is a multiple winner that has produced two winners of her own. Her family lineage from top to bottom is anchored by some of the most amazing bloodlines in racing history: Mr. Prospector, Nasrullah, Bold Ruler, War Admiral, Man O’ War, Phalaris, and Alcibiades.
