Saint Brigid Wins!

SB was entered in the 1st race at Turfway Park on March 12 - a $6,600 Maiden Claiming. SB ran a perfect race and finished first out of eight runners!

Brigid broke cleanly from the gate; took the lead; and never looked back. Pressed early, SB kept a comfortable pace under a hand ride down the backside and throughout the far turn. At the top of the stretch, she pulled away with little urging. Into the final 16th, with a closer making up ground, Jockey Victor Lebron gave SB a couple of taps to keep her mind on her business and be the first to cross the wire (by a length and a half).

This is the third race in a row that Brigid has finished "on the board" - improving one place each time out! SB has now finished in the money five out of six races. She ran this race three seconds faster than her previous effort, and her time run in this race also was her best time out of all seven races she has run.

Naturally, all Mojo Partners are very proud of the Saint Brigid's performance today. Most of the credit, of course, goes to our Trainer, John Good, for keeping our Patroness healthy, in excellent condition, in good spirits, and getting the best out of this Filly each time she steps on the track.

Mojo Racing Partners are considering our options. Though we haven't made a decision about which track to go to, we will be looking for a good spot to run in a turf race for her next time out.
