If you like action, excitement, and entertainment, then Mojo delivered all of that on Friday night at Lone Star Park!  The weather was perfect, the place was packed, and Jackrabbit Fast ran a thrilling race that culminated in stretch duel in the final furlong.

“There was great energy at the track last night,” reports Fred Taylor, Mojo’s Managing Partner.  “Mother Nature treated us right; the place was packed; lots of Mojo Partners, family, and friends were on hand; and our horse ran a good race for us.”

Going seven furlongs over a fast track, Jackrabbit Fast contested the frontrunner (and morning line co-favorite) through the first half of the race; took the lead at the ¼ pole and into the stretch; led to the final 16th; and got caught at the wire to finish second by a head.

Mojo Racing Partners is throwing a party to celebrate Jackrabbit Fast’s race at Lone Star Park on Friday night, June 8!

“We’re excited about Jackrabbit’s first race under the Mojo colors, and what better place to do it than in our own back yard at Lone Star Park,” announced Fred Taylor, Mojo’s Managing Partner.  “We going to have a large group of partners, family, and friends on hand to celebrate, and we’re extending the invitation to our Mojo Fans to come out to join the party!”

“JR (Mojo’s Trainer, JR Caldwell) has the Jackrabbit ready to go, and I think he’ll run better than his last couple of races,” Fred says about Jackrabbit Fast’s chances.  “We expect him to give the competition a run for the money in this race—so, we’ll see how it goes from the top of the stretch.”

Mojo’s back in the saddle again:  “We have lots of reasons to celebrate on Friday night!” Fred announces.  “A new group, a new horse, and a new track!  You know, last year was a long, hot summer for everyone, and just like the weather, we also encountered an unexpected dry spell in 2011 insofar as racing is concerned.  So, I’m thankful for all of my partners’ interests, and I’m glad to be running at Lone Star Park at their 2012 Meet.”

“Mojo is about giving people an easy, affordable, and fun opportunity to experience the ownership side of the sport,” Fred says.  “I put the Jackrabbit Fast Group together to prove just that.  Being an active owner is educational too—for me and my partners.  Having a vested interest (no matter what level you participate) gives everyone new insights about being owners.  And, when the business model requires you to be frugal, it also brings people together to help make the group successful.”
