Mojo Update

January 2008

Greetings from the World Wide Mojo Headquarters!

Even though our Mojo Runners haven’t been racing this month, you can be sure there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes to get them ready for the upcoming Spring and Summer Meets.

Hollywood Pegasus

HP’s been completing a series of breezes at HighPointe Training Center and transitioning to Turfway Park for his official gate works.  Our plans were to have Woody prepared to race at the end of November 2007; but because we made the decision to have him gelded, once he had recovered from the procedure, the beginning of his training had been set back about a month and a half.

The Man is now in good shape, and if Mother Nature cooperates, we are looking to enter him in a maiden special race at Turfway the first part of February.

Saint Brigid

Our Patroness completed her initial Race Horse 101 Training at Diamond D Ranch.  She was a perfect student, and Scooter reports that she is very smart, eager to work, attentive, easy going, and shows good speed for her age.

The next steps for Brigid are to turn her out to a paddock for a month, then bring her back for Race Horse 201 (which will last 60 days, and concludes with graduating from the gates).  The goal is to have her ready to ship to Kentucky in May.

Mojo Outlook

We believe 2008 is going to be a break out year for our Mojo Runners.  So, stay tuned—there will be more exciting news to come.
