Results: Fasig-Tipton Texas 2YOs In Training Sale

FTSaleHorseHead

April 3, 2013

Today, Mojo entered our two colts, Hip #51 by Point Given and Hip #114 by Notional, in the Fasig-Tipton Texas Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale at Lone Star Park.  Despite a modest increase in the overall year-over-year average price paid at this sale, both of our horses will remain in the Mojo barn.

“Both Colts are exceeding our expectations,” reports Fred Taylor, Mojo’s CEM.  “They are talented, versitle, and their potential is more valuable to us today than what it was when they were purchased last fall at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.”

In October 2012, Mojo created a Win/Win Package (with these two horses) to provide quality bloodstock for an affordable price that would take our racing group to the next level.  A gameplan was put together to turn that goal into reality, and several options were included just in case any of the horses in the package didn’t develop as planned.

“Our strategy worked,” Fred says.  “And, thanks to JR (Mojo’s Trainer) and his team, we are in a very good position as proud owners of two quality race horses as a result.”

Mojo’s in the process of developing a new gameplan to support the racing campaigns for both horses, and we’ll be releasing an update about that in the near future.
